Madeleine Lane, SSND, MA, LMFT, is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy; practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. She is the director of The Family Center with over thirty years of educational, pastoral and counseling experience, including being a spiritual director. She serves as a national guest speaker, facilitator, workshop presenter and is an adjunct university professor. Laurie Portell Spellmeyer, MSW, LCSW, became affiliated with The Family Center as a counselor in October 2008. Dedicated to social work since 1990, Laurie’s wealth of past experience includes working with people who have chronic illnesses and their caregivers, working with immigrant families and people who are living with a mental illness and/or addiction. Laurie enjoys helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen their relationships. “Our lives are composed of relationships. Kristin Wright, Ph.D., LMFT, became affiliated with The Family Center in June of 2011. She has a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Kristin is a Clinical Member of AAMFT, an Approved AAMFT supervisor for Therapists-In-Training, and an Adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University where she teaches in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. Kristin works with individuals, couples and families and has a long history of working around issues of grief, loss, and bereavement. She has researched, published, and presented nationally on this topic. Kristin also has a great deal of experience working with individuals, couples and families as they negotiate life’s many transitions. A native of the St. Louis area, Kristin has taught and practiced in the United States and overseas in Shanghai, China.
