A NEW WAY TO SUPPORT THE FAMILY CENTER

The Family Center has partnered with
Rosemary Grove in Kirkwood as a fair trade
advocate. Fair trade gifts save lives, build schools,
empower women and help eradicate poverty
in the poorest areas of the world.

As a fair trade advocate, The Family Center supports the fair trade industry
and receives 10% of the proceeds!

If you need a gift for someone, please consider Rosemary Grove.

Our Slowness Series was a Success!
The Family Center would like to thank everyone associated with
our most recent series, The Practice of Slowness.  This series was
a great success, and we are grateful for our wonderful panel of
speakers, including Dr. Doris Kutz-Compton, Steve Komorek,
Christina Kienstra, Madeleine Lane, Laurie Spellmeyer,
and Kristin Wright.
Each speaker brought a unique focus to a
specific area of life, which heightened our awareness on how to
cultivate intentional slowness into our lives. Together, this series
reached 66 people in the community, and inspired slowness for a
healthy lifestyle. Thank you again for everyone involved in this
amazing series!

~Our Most Recent Event~
On February 4th, we celebrated the lives of 182
women at our Ninth Annual High Tea.  The words
of encouragement and faith from our speakers,
Teri Griege and Laurie Spellmeyer, are gifts
that will be truly treasured.

If you were unable to attend this year, please
SAVE THE DATE for next year’s tea on
February 2, 2013.  We hope to see you there!
